What is The Village of Privilege?
The Village of Privilege is a community-focused organization built around a simple belief:
People are better when they don't have to do life alone.
Our work focuses on connecting people with support, opportunities, resources, relationships, and community.
We believe every person has value, every community has potential, and everyone deserves an opportunity to thrive.
Why is it called “The Village of Privilege”?
Because we believe there is a privilege in being part of something bigger than yourself.
Being able to serve someone.
Being able to encourage someone.
Being able to open a door for someone.
Being able to give back to your community.
Privilege, to us, isn't about being better than someone else. It's about recognizing that if you have something to give, you have an opportunity to help someone else.
And we believe that's a privilege worth sharing.
Who does The Village of Privilege serve?
Our work is centered around people and communities.
Depending on the initiative, program, or partnership, the people we serve may vary.
Our goal is to identify real needs and develop meaningful ways to respond.
Rather than assuming we know what every community needs, we believe in listening first.
What kind of work does VOP do?
Our work can include community outreach, volunteer opportunities, educational initiatives, community events, partnerships, resource connections, support initiatives, and other projects designed to strengthen individuals and communities.
Our work may evolve as new needs arise.

How can I volunteer?

Do I need experience to volunteer?
Not necessarily.

You don't have to know everything to make a difference.
